Finnish Jolla behind Sailfish US, is soon ready with a new version. It is joined by a phone from manufacturer Intex.
Finnish Jolla stands behind Sailfish operating system, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona back in February, they launched version 2.0 of the Sailfish.
Many had expected to see the first mobile with Sailfish 2.0 at MWC in Shanghai this week, unfortunately, it was not for anything other than a reference design, as well as a promise from the manufacturer Intex, about that as the first certainly is in the process of making the phone, but that they are not quite ready to show it yet.
Front man for Intex’ mobile division, Sanjay Kalirona, says “we are very excited to be the world’s first licensed partner of Sailfish US, and look forward to taking advantage of the rich user experience in our products. Together with partners in India, we believe Sailfish we can provide an exciting alternative to smartphone enthusiasts in India and later globally. ”
Jolla itself has unveiled a new reference design as they hope to Intex and others-will be based on. The design is based on 200, 600 and 800 Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset for different price levels and will support 4 g.
